If sustainability is important to you, we have recently a few changes to the old farmhouse, adding an extension that was built with materials reclaimed from the existing house. While we were at it, we laid an extensive ground source heating system beneath our wild-flower meadow and installed solar panels discreetly on top of a pole-barn roof. So, while you are staying with us, you will know that the energy used for heating your shower, bath or bedroom, boiling your kettle, blow-drying your hair or powering your ‘fridge is passive and gentle on the environment.

We grow many of our own herbs and vegetables, and we use fruit from the orchard and kitchen garden in our preserves and breakfast compotes. Very little goes to waste here and we make our own compost.

We use eco-friendly cleaning and laundry products and, whenever we can, we harness the power of Nature to do our work for us, letting the sun and wind dry and 'iron' our laundry for the freshest bed linen for you to sleep in.
